Cockapoo Rescue Dogs In Indiana

Looking for Cockapoo rescues in Indiana? These are the Cockapoo rescue dogs (and associated breeds) that are currently up for adoption in Indiana. This list is currently only updated once a week as it takes time to collate the information on the cockapoo rescues in your area. The last update was performed on 27 April 2012.

Please note that the list may not be complete as not all the Cockapoo rescue dogs in Indiana details are put on line. Contact your local dog rescue center to find out if they have (or know of) a Cockapoo rescue waiting to be adopted near you in Indiana!

Why are there other dogs shown rather than just cockapoo rescues in Indiana? Well, we only currently only search a small number of the animal shelters in Indiana for Cockapoo rescues that are available for adoption and not all the shelters will have a Cockapoos. So rather than show nothing we show the breeds that are similar to the Cockapoo - all the dogs in the shelters in Indiana need homing, can you see your next dog below?

(Poodle) Chaps - Small - Male

Chaps
PLEASE SCROLL ALL THE WAY DOWN TO FIND THE ENTIRE DESCRIPTION. Chaps is 1 year old year old, 7lb. spunky and fun loving miniature Poodle/Maltese (we don't know for sure)also referred to as Maltipoo. Chaps came to us from a local high kill shelter where his time was up due to lack of space. Chaps is initially shy with strangers but once he warms up to you he is your best buddy. He is very playful (he LOVES toys and he loves to play with other dogs), always ready for an adventure! He is also very sensitive and affectionate and overall well behaved. He loves going for car rides and walks and at night he likes to curl up on the couch right next to you.We think that prior to coming to the nest he has not been to a lot of places and so almost everything new is initially scary to him. Chaps is house broken but will most likely mark his new territory initially (especially when there is another dog) and he is crate trained. For Chaps we are looking for a home where someone understands his needs and can give him a lot of attention and a lot of play time. It would be best if he went to a home with a securely fenced in yard (no electric fence please) and where there is another pup his size that he can play with. Chaps has been neutered, tested (negative) for heartworm, is on heartworm and flea prevention, he is current on vaccinations including Rabies and he is micro chipped. His adoption fee is $195. If you are interested in adopting Chaps please fill out an adoption application on our web site www.inthenest.net. No children under 10 please. View this pet on Petfinder.com

(Cocker Spaniel) Ebony - Small - Female

Ebony
Ebony is a sweet Cocker spaniel that is mostly blind. She loves attention and sometimes will shower you with kisses. She is 5 yrs old and was surrendered by her owners probably due to her sight(or lack of) which makes her movements jerky as she tries to find her way around. She has a cataract in one eye and some limited sight in the other eye. Don't let that scare you from this little beauty, she has plenty of life and love with or without sight. She is very quiet and only barks when the other dogs bark. She gets along well with other dogs and cats. She is spayed, current on shots, tested negative for heartworm, on flea and heartworm preventative, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $200. UPDATE: Ebony has been having seizues and has been started on meds to help control them. Since starting the seizure medicine she hasn't had any more seizures. Seizure meds will go with her when she is adopted. To apply for adoption send an email to yappiedog12@gmail.com and we will forward an application. View this pet on Petfinder.com

Kerrigan is quite the happy and friendly dog. He is more laid back and easy going, but still enjoys a walk. Kerrigan loves to sit and watch the world go by. He is more independent than many of the other dogs and doesn't need to constantly have someone around 24/7 to entertain him. Look for us under the tents in the parking lot by the Logan's Roadhouse and Huntington Bank!**Please send us an email in addition to your application!!** Margot is such a good looking girl! She is one of many dogs that we rescued recently from a Puppy Mill. As such Margot will need extra work on her house training, leash training, and just generally house manners as she has never lived as a part of a family before. Her new family will need to be understanding and patient with her as she learns. Margot is 6 years old and weighs 8 pounds. She was groomed by one of our volunteers and looks great! Margot is a little Toy Poodle. She is very scared and shy and so will need a home that has experience with dogs from a puppy mill rescue. Margot is a good girl with lots of potential, she just needs a home where she can settle in and feel comfortable. She is good with other dogs and cats, but needs a home without any children. Princeton's name should be Smiley because he is always smiling!! He is an adorable 3 year old Miniature Poodle. Princeton weighs just 12 pounds. (Scottish Terrier Scottie) Cory - Medium - Male

Cory
**Please send us an email in addition to your application!!** Sweetie pie Cory was left with his mother at the shelter when his owners decided they no longer had time for the dogs. Cory was separated from his mother when another rescue decided to only save her, probably due to the fact she was a purebred Scottish Terrier. Since Cory is just a mix, they left him at the shelter. :( This poor boy is so sad and confused to be apart from the only family he has known his whole life. We want to find a fantastic family for this sweetheart! Cory is 1 1/2 years old and weighs about 25 pounds. We know he is a Scottish Terrier mixed with what we think may be a Poodle. He has longer wiry type hair. Cory is a very affectionate and loving little dog. He wants to be sitting in your lap and cuddled as much as possible. Cory is smart and would respond well to obedience training. He is a good boy and gets along with other dogs, cats, and would be all right with dog savvy children. Adoption Fee: $300The adoption fee is non-negotiable. We are a not for profit rescue that operates solely on our adoption fees. We receive no outside funding from the county or state. (His "red" eyes are a trait of the breed.) McGee is very high energy, needs a play-mate, and also a fenced yard in which to run and exercise. He will make a delightful addition to the right family. (Retriever) Diesel - Large - Male

Diesel
We require that you have a fenced in yard, not a 'kennel' in the yard and that the adoptee will be a part of the family 'living' within the home. Our adoption processcan be found on our website atwww.bitofheaven.org.Visiting hours are seven days a week, 9:00 a.m. - noon & 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. by APPOINTMENT.Diesel use to be a best buddy to a blind gentleman but one day when Diesel was in his 'fenced back yard' a neighbors cat wandered over the fence and met it's demise. The neighbor was very upset but when he found out that Diesel was a companion to a disabled gentleman he wanted to let it go. The neighborhood association wouldn't and the family was ordered by the court to get rid of Diesel. Bunch of bull! It was his yard.Well, here he is and he is such a good boy. He hangs out with my husband and his 'crew' of canines (cocker spaniel, beagle, shep x, pit bull, cattle dog) and lives in the house with 2 cats! He's a talker, in the one picture that is what he is doing talking to me while I'm trying to get pictures of him!April 24, 2012, 9:19 am View this pet on Petfinder.com
